Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 10:19AM

Dangee Dums(up 3.73%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 3.38%), Varun Beverages(up 2.25%), Hindustan Foods(up 1.94%), Nakoda Group(up 1.64%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 1.15%), Sheetal Cool Products(up 1.08%), Parag Milk(up 0.92%), Prataap Snacks(up 0.87%) and Zydus Wellness(up 0.77%) were among the top gainers.

Vadilal Industries(down 1.29%), Dabur India(down 1.02%), P & G Hygiene(down 0.96%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(down 0.88%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.80%), ADF Foods(down 0.53%), Heritage Foods(down 0.50%), Dodla Dairy(down 0.21%), Gillette India(down 0.19%) and Emami(down 0.11%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 111.85 points up at 17155.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 356.52 points at 58256.71 at around 10:19AM.

Larsen & Toubro(up 3.07%), Asian Paints(up 2.8%), UPL Ltd(up 2.28%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.14%), Tata Steel(up 2.11%), Bajaj Finserv(up 2.1%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.0%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.85%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.77%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.64%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel(down 1.27%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.8%), SBI Life(down 0.45%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.33%), HCL Technologies(down 0.06%), Nestle India(down 0.03%) and Reliance Industries(down 0.02%) were trading in the red.
