Women should be given bigger role in policy making: K Kavitha
HYDERABAD: BRS MLC and founder of Bharat Jagruthi Kalvakuntla Kavitha said for the overall development and growth of the country and society, women should be given a bigger role in the policy making by giving more representation in the legislative bodies. She said political parties, especially from the opposition, are in support of the women's reservation bill and it is the Centre which is not taking any initiative to pass the Bill in the parliament.
The Bharat Jagruthi founder and daughter of Telangana CM KCR organised a round table conference in Delhi on Wednesday to discuss the way forward for tabling of the women's reservation bill in the Parliament with over 13 opposition parties and several civil society organisations.
