JAIPUR: A 22-year-old brother of a gang-rape survivor alleged that some suspects tried to attack him in Jaipur on Sunday.
The youth in his FIR to the police said that his sister had filed a case of gang-rape against the same accused a few days ago.
The youth told cops that one of the accused, Abhishek, was also carrying a firearm.
“These people want to kill me because my sister had filed a rape case against them,” the youth wrote in his complaint to the police.
He also alleged that the accused had been trying to pressurize him so that his sister could withdraw the case. “The case was filed under IPC Section 384 (extortion), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention). We have detained three suspects in the case including Abhishek,” said an official.
Police said that they were also examining CCTVs of the area for the investigation. Meanwhile, the youth in his FIR alleged that the accused are notorious miscreants and claimed that he fears for his life.
The city police, meanwhile, said that they were examining the entire case.
