Jaipur: A team of engineers of the
Tamil Nadu water resources department was on a two-day visit in Jaipur observing the various sites of the Dravyavati river rejuvenation project.
The team visited Jaipur to study the detailed project implementation and is all set to implement a similar kind of project at the Buckingham Canal that passes through the state capital Chennai. “The team reached Jaipur on Sunday evening and since Monday they visited several sites like the Landscape Park on Shipra Path, the Bird Park in Panipech, Haldighati and the Botanical Park in Bambala. The team also observed the the sewerage treatment plant in Sanganer. During their visit, the team met and interacted with engineers and officials of JDA and the consortium maintaining the project, led by Tata Projects,” said a JDA official.
On March 9, TOI reported that the team was scheduled to visit Jaipur. Although Tamil Nadu water resources minister water resources Thiru Durai Murugan and the additional chief secretary of the department Sandeep Saxena was also scheduled to visit Jaipur, they had cancelled the trip.
