Even though Ram Charan and Jr. NTR were simply the film's actors and not nominees, there was a lot of hype about their attendance at the event. ​The film's director, Rajamouli, who served as the campaign's chief strategist for the Oscars, was present. Keeravani, the nominee, was also loudly mentioned.

The other nominee, chandrabose, was, however, passed over for a very long period, particularly at the Golden Globe Awards. In order to likely prevent chandrabose from receiving an official invitation, the rajamouli team purposefully made a mistake by giving the Golden Globe officials the names of vocalists rather than the lyricist. rajamouli wanted to draw all the focus on himself and his family since he had used his own money to make the film. He was self-centered and refused to share his success with the other deserving persons who contributed to the making of his movie.

At the Oscars, things developed differently. The strategy that rajamouli and his colleagues used at the Golden Globe Awards was inapplicable here. The oscar sent an official invitation under the lyricist Chandrabose's name. Ultimately, keeravani and chandrabose were added to the list along with the song "Naatu Naatu," which won the award. Yet, only keeravani took the time away from performing to address the audience with a spoof song about his emotions. He did not give chandrabose any opportunity to speak, so he merely uttered "Namaste" into the microphone before leaving the dais. Many Telugus might have anticipated seeing chandrabose speak a few telugu phrases from the oscar dais, but he was once more disguised.

Then there is the tale of rahul sipligunj, the singer who performed the song with Keeravani's son Kalabhairava. rahul Silpligunj and kalabhairava were invited as part of the oscar Academy's live performance of the song, which was planned. The chance to perform on the oscar stage is the most prestigious of all entertainment events in the world, even though it did not result in an award. rahul sipligunj and kalabhairava, another member of the rajamouli family, shared the spotlight similarly to how chandrabose and keeravani shared the honour. Only the oscar Academy's plan and invitations can be blamed for this.

Prem Rakshit, the song's choreographer, is the principal technician responsible for turning "Naatu Naatu" into a worldwide phenomenon. He received passing mentions but was not given enough time in front of the cameras.

The largest error was failing to use DVV Danayya's name at least once. He was the one who oversaw the movie's production, bearing all of the financial concerns, conflicts of interest, problems with the release owing to Covid limitations, and many more. He was the one who set things up so that the movie could be made without any problems. Because rajamouli chose not to mention him at the oscar ceremony, he ultimately became an unsung hero. keeravani recognised Karthikeya, the son of rajamouli, in his speech from the dais. The general population is unaware of the value of mentioning that name.

Rajamouli is smart and ambitious, but it has been established that he is also self-centered.
