Google has released Pixel Feature Drop for the month of March. The rollout was expected to begin last week but got delayed due to some reason. It is available for all eligible Pixel devices including older models. The update brings a bunch of new features like faster Night Sight photos, dual eSIM support, and keyless car entry.
The first noteworthy change is obviously faster Night Sight shot processing on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. It means users will be able to click photos in low-light shots much faster. The enhanced processing support is already available on the Pixel 7 series but is now available on the last-generation phones too. It will utilize the power of the Tensor chipset to accomplish faster photo processing.
The update has expanded Magic Eraser to older Pixel smartphones including Pixel 4a. It is a feature that allows users to remove unwanted objects from the photo. There is also a feature called Direct My Call+ which makes it easier and more convenient to navigate through call menus when calling a toll-free phone number.
Google has finally added dual eSIM support for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro users. Smartphones usually offer one eSIM and physical SIM card support. It will now be possible to add two different eSIM connections on the same Pixel. The team has enabled 5G connectivity for Pixel 6a and Pixel 7 users in India.
