Rice expert Khush visits PAU campus

Ludhiana: World Food Prize winner and a rice breeder, PAU alumnus Dr Gurdev Singh Khush visited the Communication Centre and expressed delight at the progress made in terms of digital communication of the university with farmers and other stakeholders.
In his discussion with Dr TS Riar, additional director of communication, Dr Khush said he was elated to see the work done by PAU, being projected to thousands of farmers through social media handles, digital newspaper Kheti Sandesh and the more than 200 farm publications.
He also lauded the concept of “books langar”at the centre, wherein students could pick up farm literature free of cost. Dr Khush also lauded the creation of the recording studio for virtual farmer-scientist sessions. TNN
