Lucknow’s Charbagh railway station government railway police (GRP) have arrested a train ticket examiner (TTE) posted at Saharanpur for allegedly urinating on the wife of deputy station superintendent of the railways. The railways has sacked the accused.

The incident took place in the wee hours of Monday, when Akal Takht Express (12317) was nearly two hours away (in Akbarganj) from Lucknow.
The accused has been identified as Munna Kumar (39) of Begusarai district of Bihar.
He was on leave and heading to Saharanpur.
The accused has been booked under IPC sections 352 (Whoever assaults or uses criminal force to any person otherwise than on grave and sudden provocation given by that person), 354 A (physical contact and advances involving unwelcome and explicit sexual overtures) and 509 (Whoever, intending to insult the modesty of any woman).
According to the FIR filed by the victim's husband, the couple were “traveling on berth number 31 and 32 in coach number A1 of AC2 tier. At around 12.30 am, the TTE putting up on berth number 41 came to my wife and urinated on her head.”
Speaking to TOI, Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, the circle officer of Lucknow division GRP, said, “Both the deputy station superintendent, along with his family, and TTE of Indian railway were traveling from Kiul junction (Bihar). The victim had reserved a seat up to Amritsar, while the accused till Saharanpur."
"The victim's husband alleged that TTE Munna Kumar urinated on his wife's head. When the GRP team arrived, the accused TTE was detained with the help of fellow passengers and an RPF squad. Passengers claimed that accused Munna was drunk, but no liquor bottle was recovered. The victim's husband gave a written complaint at Lucknow GRP police station and continued his journey along with his family members.”
“We have arrested the accused and sent him to judicial custody. Now we will contact the victim and her husband to record their statement in order to ascertain the sequence of events. In the initial questioning, the accused TTE has confessed,” he added.
Accused sacked
TTE Munna Kumar has been sacked from job.
"He had been serving in railways for nearly 15-years. There were no other charges against Munna during his service in tenure," said PRO, Ambala division of northern railway, while speaking to TOI.
Later, railway minsiter Ashwani Vaishnaw said that the official is removed from service with immediate effecte, adding that there is "zero tolerance" for such incidents.
