RANCHI: The deposition of the prosecution witnesses in the amassing illegal money and money laundering case against former state chief minister Madhu Kora and others could not take place before the special PMLA court on Monday as the witness did not turn up.
The court fixed the next date for the exercise on March 31.
However, Kora was present in the court for the proceedings.
The directorate of enforcement (ED) had registered a case (ECIR/2/2009) in connection with the alleged acquisition of illegal money by Kora when he was the chief minister from 2006 to 2008.
His associates Manoj Punamia, Anil Kumar Bastawade, Vijay Joshi, Arvind Vyas, Binod Kumar Sinha and Vikas Kumar Sinha besides several firms were made accused in the case.
