Man, woman in serious condition after Upton shooting Sunday afternoon, Baltimore Police say

A man and a woman are in serious condition after being shot Sunday afternoon in West Baltimore, according to police.

Officers investigating the shooting in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in the Upton neighborhood shortly before 4:30 p.m. found a 24-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds, Baltimore Police said in a news release.

The woman had been shot in the head, and the man had been shot in the chest, police said. Both were taken to hospitals in serious condition.
