(Representational image) A nine-year-old boy who was on his way to the market to purchase a bicycle along with his parents died after the compound wall of a bungalow in Chikhali area fell on him on Sunday. The owner of the bungalow has been arrested.
Police have identified the deceased as Mohitraje Amit Bhosale (9), resident of Chikhali Gaothan on Dehu-Alandi road.
His father Amit Kantilal Bhosale (40) lodged the first information report (FIR) in this case at the Chikhali police station.

Based on a complaint filed by his father, police have booked the bungalow owner, Suresh Jadhav, resident of Spine Road in Chikhali, under sections 338 and 304 (a) of the Indian Penal Code.
Assistant police inspector Nakul Nyamane, the investigating officer, said that the bungalow owner has been arrested on charges of negligence.
