SS Rajamouli’s RRR, Monday, etched its name in cinema history by becoming the first Indian film to score an Oscar for the best original for its chartbuster song Naatu Naatu. RRR music director MM Keeravaani accepted the award with a humble Namaste gesture and also sang a rendition of The Carpenters’ hit ‘Top Of The World’ in his acceptance speech.

Ecstatic at the historic Oscar win, the RRR team thanked the film’s fans across the globe and dedicated the award to them. Kapil Sharma reveals he had suicidal thoughts during bad phase of his life

Kapil Sharma has become a household name in a short span of time. But do you know the man who is known for his superb comic timing and great sense of humour used to have suicidal thoughts during the lowest phase of his life?

During an interaction with a news channel, the Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karu revealed he had suicidal thoughts in his bad phase. He recalled the time he felt he had no one in his life to help him. He said he used to feel lonely and didn’t have anyone he could truly call his own.

Kapil, who was at the peak of his career, became the centre of controversies when he had a fight with his co-actor Sunil Grover. Grover and Sharma used to work together in the Comedy Nights of Kapil. However, differences arose between them and they had a huge fight on the plane when they were returning from Australia after doing a live show.

During that time his second film Firangi also didn’t perform well at the box office. Due to negative publicity, Kapil got into depression and tried to take his life several times. Recalling the time, the 41-year-old comedian said he didn’t have anyone to take care of him.

The actor-comedian took a break from the industry for a while. He went on to say that he didn’t trust the people around him and believed they were only there for their own gain.

On the professional front, Kapil Sharma is currently hosting The Kapil Sharma Show. He will also be seen in the drama film Zwigato which presents a story of the relentlessness of life. Helmed by Nandita Das, Zwigato is slated to hit the silver screen on March 17, 2023.
