Admin gives final touches for ‘Rangon ka Thela’ today

Kanpur: The district administration and the organizing committee of Ganga Mela on Sunday gave final touches to the event to be held on Monday.
The organizing committee after finalizing the route of "Rangon ka Thela" informed the district authorities about it. The district magistrate directed the Kesco and Kanpur Municipal Corporation to make all necessary arrangements for the event.
Kesco has tightened the loose power cables of the entire route from where the `Rangon ka Thela' will pass. KMC has also launched a cleanliness drive and repaired patches on the route.
"Rango ka Thela" will begin its journey from Hatia Bazar and after passing through Nayaganj, Chowk Sarrafa, Maniram Bagia, Topi Bazar, Generalganj, Sangam Lal Temple, Kamla Tower, Pheel Khana, Birhana Road, Kahoo Kothi and Lathi Mohal will culminate at Rajjan Babu Park.
Convenor Gyanendra Bishnoi said that as per the custom, buffalo cart will be the part of "Rangon ka Thela" and behind it will follow tractor-trolley and other vehicles.
All vehicles will be equipped with drums carrying water colours. A crowd of Holi lovers will walk with "Rangon ka Thela", he said.
