Delhi Police arrest 12 for trafficking, Rs 3.5-crore drugs seized

NEW DELHI: The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested 12 people for drug trafficking. Cops have recovered Malana cream worth Rs 3.5 crore.
According to police, due to the high demand for Malana cream, the accused formed the gang and started the drug cartel.
Special commissioner of police (crime) Ravindra Singh Yadav said, some inputs about an interstate syndicate involved in drug trafficking from Himachal Pradesh to Mumbai and Gujarat through Delhi were received. Cops then launched multiple operations.
"In the first operation, Ses Ram, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, who used to supply charas to Delhi and other states of India, was nabbed from Sabzi Mandi railway station and 1.16 kg charas was recovered from him," Yadav said. Later, one more accused, Mayur Khade - who was the receiver of the drugs - was arrested from Mumbai.
During the second operation, eight people were arrested and around 2kg charas was recovered from the possession of one of the accused.
On information received from Ses Ram, a raid was conducted at Pandav Nagar and two more men were apprehended along with contraband. Two packets with total 300gm of drugs were recovered from them.
