Mangaluru: None of the
BJP MLAs will join the Congress, said former minister KS Eshwarappa. Prior to attending the Vijaysankalp Yatra in Dharmasthala, he told reporters on Sunday that the Congress is only claiming that leaders are joining them.
“Let us wait and see whether MLAs and leaders from the Congress join the BJP or vice versa. The BJP is confident of winning a majority in the upcoming assembly elections in state,” he added.
As a party, the BJP has been successful in its efforts to protect the country and organize itself across the country. Out of 180 seats in North Eastern states, the Congress won only seven. BJP came to power in three states in the recently concluded polls, he noted.
Eshwarappa said BJP is organising Vijaysankalp Yatra ahead of assembly elections to gain a clear majority. The yatra was held in Sullia and Puttur on Saturday. The BJP leadership at the centre and the state are responding to the masses through development works. “People have strong faith that only BJP can protect the country and preserve the culture of the land,” he said.
Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant took part in the yatra in Belthangady. Addressing the yatra at Belthangady, Sawant said that Congress and JD(S) have been nurturing their families all these years and failed to carry out any development works. He expressed confidence that the double-engine government will be back in power.
