Slovenian Foreign Minister calls India an “Important strategic partner of the world” at Raisina ‘Ideas Pod’

Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tanja Fajon, highlighted the need for reform in the United Nations Security Council and said the UNSC is jeopardised and blocked, which is causing distress in geopolitics and geo-economics. The Minister also said what Slovenia can bring to the UNSC ‘table’ after becoming a member. The Minister further said, “India is an important strategic partner to parts of the world.” While speaking on bringing change to international groupings and institutions, she said, “to bring change in international orders, we have to figure out and go to the core of what was the strategic importance of our alliance.” She underlined the importance of respecting international order and said peace and dialogue are important and are part of our Constitution.
