PATNA: The state Congress on Saturday held a meeting of its political affairs committee and discussed matters related to raids by central agencies targeting the opposition leaders. The members of the committee also hoped that
Rahul Gandhi would visit Bihar the way he covered several parts of the country during his "Bharat Jodo Yatra".
Former governor Nikhil Kumar, who is the president of state political affairs committee of Congress, told TOI, "Everyone talked about the actions being taken by the investigating agencies against opposition leaders. We do not know what exactly CBI, ED and IT are doing."
Asked about the party's strategies for Lok Sabha election, he said, "Alliance is already there in the state." He added the committee authorized the party's state president Akhilesh Prasad Singh to take decisions.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders like state president of the party Singh,
Tariq Anwar, Madan Mohan Jha, Chandan Bagchi, Shyam Sundar Singh Dheeraj, Shakil Ahmad Khan, Vijay Shankar Dubey, Sameer Singh, Chandan Yadav, Tauqeer Alam, Ashok Ram, Kaukab Qadri and others.
