Man stranded on boat at Thane lake rescued

Thane: A 28-year-old man, probably under the influence of alcohol, was rescued by civic teams after he was found stranded on a boat in the middle of a lake opposite the municipal headquarters, early Saturday, officials informed. Avinash Sawant, chief at the regional disaster management cell, Thane said they were alerted by the security guard at the headquarters which is located opposite the lake after he spotted the boat stranded mid-lake and also saw someone seated inside.
