Poet receives Sahitya Akademi Award

Bhubaneswar: Eminent Odia poet Gayatribala Panda on Saturday received the Sahitya Academy Award for 2022 for her poetry collection, Daya Nadi , during the 39th Festival of Letters, in New Delhi. President of Kendra Sahitya Akademi Madhav Kaushik conferred the prestigious literary award on Panda. She received Rs 1 lakh cash reward and a copper shield as her prize. Before this, Panda won the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Youth Award. She has published 28 books of poetry, stories, novels, essays and columns. tnn
