HYDERABAD: CPM will launch a bus yatra in the state to educate people on the dangers of attacks on democracy, federalism, secularism and socialism by the BJP government at the Centre. CPM national leaders Sitaram Yechury, Prakash Karat, among others, will participate in the bus yatra starting on March 17 from Warangal.
Though the CPM would also be raising issues being faced by people under the BRS government in Telangana, the CPM's bus tour comes as a major boost to KCR-led BRS which is fighting against the BJP, especially after the ED summons to party MLC and daughter of CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, K Kavitha.
CPM state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram told STOI that the 'Jana Chaitanya Yatra' will start from Warangal on March 17, party's another group of leaders will launch yatra from Adilabad on March 23 and from Nizamabad on March 24.
Yechury will be the chief guest for the first phase of yatra on March 17 and Karat will participate in the valedictory of the yatra.
