Young Strikers Club Benaulim put on an impressive display of football as they secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Youth Welfare Sports Club Assolna in the GFA U-13 Division II match at the Seraulim ground on Sunday.
The match got off to an exciting start as the Young Strikers Club took the lead in the 6th minute through a well-placed shot from A Shane Almeida. The goal set the tone for the rest of the game, as the Young Strikers Club continued to press forward and dominate possession.
The first half ended with the Young Strikers Club still leading 1-0, but it was clear that they were not content with just a one-goal advantage.
In the second half, the Young Strikers Club picked up where they left off and continued to dominate play. They were rewarded for their efforts in the 65th minute when Shane Almeida scored his second goal of the game, doubling the team’s lead and putting them firmly in control.
As the match drew to a close, the Young Strikers Club showed no signs of letting up, and they added a third goal in the dying moments of the game. Shelloyd Sequira was the player who got the goal, capping off a fine performance from the Young Strikers
Club.
In another match at Nagoa ground, FC YFA humbled Canacona SCC 7-0.
Irwin Faleiro and Troad Dias netted a brace each while Yohann Souza and Warren Rodrigues were the other goal getters for the winners. Canacona’s Pritam Kankonkar netted a own goal to give YFA their seventh goal of the day.
At Tilak Maidan Vasco, Rising Star S&CC emerged victorious against Benfica Youth Club with a scoreline of 3-2.
The match began with both teams showing attacking intent, but it was Rising Star S&Cultural Club who drew first blood. Nishaan Phadke found the back of the net in the 6th minute to give his team an early lead. He followed it up with another goal in the 10th minute, much to the delight of the Rising Star S&CC supporters.
The first half ended with Rising Star leading 2-0.
The second half saw Benfica Youth Club come out all guns blazing. They were rewarded for their efforts when Ayaan Arish scored in the 44th minute to bring his team back into the game. However, Rising Star Club responded brilliantly and Kanliya Chand scored in the 34th minute to extend their lead.
Benfica Youth Club kept fighting and were rewarded for their efforts when Ayaan Arish scored his second goal in the 59th minute. However, Rising Star Club held on to their lead and emerged victorious with a scoreline of 3-2.
At Chicalim ground, A. A. De Majorda emerged victorious against Vasco United 2-1.
The game got off to an exciting start as Vasco United’s Eric Andrade scored a brilliant goal in the 10th minute of the first half.
However, A.
A. De Majorda responded well to this setback and their star player Fredrickson Fernandes found the back of the net to equalize the scores before the halftime whistle.
Fredrickson Fernandes who proved to be the difference between the two teams as he scored a beautiful goal to give A. A. De Majorda led and secured full points for his team.
