Prayagraj: The evaluation process of the answer sheets of high school and intermediate examination-2023 of UP Board would start from March 18.
The high school and intermediate exams had started on February 16 and concluded on March 4.
The Board, known as one of the biggest examination conducting bodies of the world in terms of examinees, has set up 258 evaluations centres across the state for this mega exercise. For the task, the Board has completed all the formalities as the process would start with formal training of examiners from March 12.
According to Board secretary Divya kant Shukla: “The Board has appointed 1,43,933 examiners for the task of evaluating around 3.19 crore answer sheets.” This year a total of 58,85,745 candidates, including 31,16,487 class 10 students and 27,69,258 class 12 students, had registered for the exams.
However, 4,31,571 students, including 2,08,953 of class 10 and 2,22,618 of class 12 skipped the exams.
Board officials said for error-free evaluation of answer sheets, in-depth training will be given to examiners and deputy chief examiners at UP Board’s five regional offices.
On the first day, training will be provided at the Meerut Regional Office. After this, training will be given to examiners and deputy chief examiners in Bareilly on March 13, Gorakhpur on March 14, Prayagraj on March 15 and Varanasi on March 16.
The training will be imparted through both audio and video mediums. Apart from this, an instruction booklet will also be given to the examiners. This type of training process is being adopted for the first time, officials said. The responsibility of imparting the intensive training has been entrusted to the additional secretaries of the regional offices of Board, he added. “We have taken special care that the entire process is transparent and completed within a record time while maintaining all the fairness as was ensured during the exams,” said Shukla. tnn
