In Gujarat, woman, lover booked for killing her 2-year-old son

RAJKOT: Surendrangar police booked a woman and her paramour in connection with the murder of her two-year-old son, who was allegedly disliked by her lover.
In a complaint filed by the boy’s father with Surendranagar B division police, cops booked Husena Vagher and her lover Jakir Fakir under IPC section 302 and 114 for killing toddler Aayan.
According to the complaint, Salim Vagher got married to Husena eight years ago and the couple has two sons — Rehan (4) and Aryan (2).
The couple got separated a few years ago and Husena started living with her mother and the two boys. Salim told the cops that he came to know that his estranged wife started living in a rented house in Wadhwan with her lover Fakir about one and half months ago.
She brought along her younger son Aryan with her while the elder son Rehan still lived with his grandmother.
Salim came to know from his relatives that Husena and her lover would torture and thrash the toddler, he said in his complaint, adding that he got a call from Husena’s brother-in-law on March 8 informing him that Aryan died of sickness while he was being taken to Rajkot.
When Salim went to perform the last rites of his son, he saw multiple injury marks on the boy’s body and suspected that the child may have died of torture and informed the police.
The police sent the dead body for forensic post mortem and which confirmed that the toddler died of torture.
