He has held several leader positions at British Airways, including COO for a number of years, and has been Director of Engineering and Maintenance at TUI.

“I am very pleased to welcome Jason Mahoney to SAS. Jason is a well-recognized and experienced professional within the airline industry. He will be a valuable addition to SAS’ top management team,” said Anko van der Werff, President and CEO of SAS.

Jason will officially join the company on 1 May, succeeding Simon Pauck Hansen who left SAS in January.

“I'm both proud and excited to join SAS. It is an airline with a long legacy and a strong brand and I see great potential ahead given its leading position in Scandinavia and the comprehensive transformation process SAS is currently undertaking,” Jason said. “I am looking forward to be part of that journey and to continue developing the operations together with the team. I am also thrilled to be reconnecting with Scandinavia given my previous experiences, which I thoroughly enjoyed.”

Erik Westman has been appointed EVP Network and Revenue Management at SAS after five months in the position as Acting EVP and is now a permanent member of SAS Group Management.

Erik has held several leader positions during his ten years with SAS.
