Ranchi: Government job aspirants in the state on Friday took to Twitter to vent their anger against the Hemant Soren government’s recent decision to implement a recruitment policy prior to 2016.
Ex-CMs Raghubar Das and Babulal Marandi and BJP lawmakers Amar Kumar Bauri and Bhanu Pratap Shahi were among the several saffron brigade leaders who joined the chorus digitally as #60_40_Nay Chaltau (60:40 ratio in government jobs won't work) trended on Twitter and fetched over 3 lakh tweets till evening. “The government has lied from the start. First, five lakh jobs in its first year, then unemployed allowances and then appointments year. You say something in the assembly and something outside of it. The youth will not buy your lies any more,” Das tweeted with the hashtag.
On March 2, the cabinet approved amendments to four Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission exam regulations of 2015 and removed a clause that aspirants would have to pass matriculation and intermediate level exams or equivalent from Jharkhand-based schools were struck down from the regulations.
“It meant 60% of government jobs under these categories would be reserved for the aspirants of Jharkhand. The remaining would be open for all,” Gulam Hussein, a Bokaro-based job aspirant who joined the protests digitally, said.
