Everyone needs to take onus of protecting environment: CM

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said while preserving the cultural glory of the state and equality for all religions, everyone needs to accept the responsibility of protecting the environment, wild animals and birds of the state, and everyone should take precautions to prevent fire outbreak.

Sawant was speaking during the inauguration of the Sankhali
Shigmotsav parade.

Popular playback singer and lyricist Hema Sardesai, chairperson of Sankhali Municipal Council Rajesh Sawal, Priyesh Dangi, Riaz Khan, Siddhi Prabhu, councillors Anand Kanekar, Dayanand Boryekar, Shubhada Savaikar, Yeshwant Madkar and others were present.

“We have completed most of the projects that were started earlier. Today, Sankhali is the number two ideal city in the state and plans have been made to make it number one soon,” Sawant said.

Hema Sardesai said that women are contributing to the cultural glory of the state and they should participate with
more enthusiasm.
