'Govt of Assam has decided to impose temporary ban on the entry of poultry': Atul Bora

Assam minister for agriculture and veterinary Atul Bora gave statement to impose entry of poultry in the state. 'In view of the outbreak of highly pathogenic 'avian influenza' in the state of Bihar and Jharkhand which is a highly contagious disease having the genetic potential of causing a huge loss in terms of mortality and trade of poultry. The govt of Assam has decided to impose a temporary ban on the entry of poultry as a precautionary major through the western border of the state in the interest of preventing the escalation of the disease in the state of Assam and other Northern state'.
