A woman who was shot in Denver on Thursday has died, and police are investigating the incident as a homicide.

The shooting happened in the area of West 10th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, police said in a 5:49 p.m. tweet Thursday. The victim was taken to a hospital.
On Friday, police described the victim as an adult female, saying she has died. A homicide investigation is underway.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim. Police on Friday did not release any information on a suspect, or suspects, in the case.
