Asus ROG Phone 7D spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

It’s been over 5 months since the Asus ROG Phone 6D series release and we’re patiently expecting the next iteration in the gaming phone lineup. The Asus AI2205_D believed to be the ROG Phone 7D appeared on the Geekbench 6 benchmark database with a test run of 2,012 single-core points and 5,697 multi-core points.
We also got confirmation that the device is equipped with the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset as well as 16GB RAM. As expected the phone boots Android 13. A report from last month specified that Asus is working on a trio of ROG Phone 7 variants – ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7D and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate.
All three ROG Phone 7 devices are expected to bring 165Hz AMOLED screens and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips. The Ultimate model is said to sport 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The ROG Phone 7 series is expected to launch in Q3 2023 which corresponds to the July-September months.

I came to know that Asus dropped hardware support for Rog series (no parts availability) within a year of launch. Is it true or misinformation?
Doesn't the D in the name mean dimensity?
