Ileana D’Cruz banned from Kollywood: Tamil Film Producers Council refute rumours
The speculations of Ileana’s ban from the South film industry could have risen because of her absence from Tamil and Telugu cinema for a long time.

Actor Ileana D’Cruz, who started her film career with the Telugu film Devadasu, has been grabbing headlines for being banned from the Tamil film industry. However, as per the latest reports, the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) has called these reports absolutely false.
There were rumours that Kollywood has banned the Main Tera Hero actor from working in the South film industry after she refused to shoot a Tamil film after taking a hefty amount in advance. Reportedly, the producer incurred huge losses and subsequently, he filed a complaint with TFPC.
Post that complaint, Tamil film producers had apparently decided not to sign her on for any Tamil movies. Calling these reports false and baseless, TFPC said no such ban had been put in place by them.
The speculations of Ileana’s ban from the South film industry could have risen because of her absence from Tamil and Telugu cinema for a long time. She was last seen as a lead in Tamil and Telugu films a decade ago in 2012 in Nanban and Julayi respectively.
In the same year, she debuted in the Bollywood industry with Anurag Basu’s Barfi, also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. However, the Raid actor has been seen in a minor role in the 2018 Telugu film Amar Akbar Anthony.
On the professional front, Ileana will be next seen in Balwinder Singh Janjua’s film Tera Kya Hoga Lovely opposite Randeep Hooda. She will also be seen in Shirsha Guha’s film.
