Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Friday at 11:26AM

Sikko Industries(up 4.98%), National Fertilizer(up 4.11%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 3.87%), Madras Fertlizers(up 3.63%), Aries Agro(up 2.39%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.27%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 0.48%), ZUARIAGRO(up 0.43%) and Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.16%) were among the top gainers.

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers(down 2.01%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.68%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 1.31%), KRISHANA(down 1.21%), Agro Phos(down 1.15%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 1.14%), Bohra Industries(down 1.11%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.95%), Rama Phosphates(down 0.79%) and Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.60%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 164.5 points down at 17425.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 624.59 points at 59181.69 at around 11:26AM.

Divis Laboratories(up 0.74%), Tata Motors(up 0.62%), Britannia Industries(up 0.54%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.48%), ITC(up 0.39%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.3%), NTPC(up 0.28%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.27%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.26%) and Bajaj Auto(up 0.24%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 2.26%), HDFC Bank(down 2.19%), HDFC(down 2.18%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.95%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.81%), State Bank of India(down 1.77%), Axis Bank(down 1.71%), ICICI Bank(down 1.43%), Reliance Industries(down 1.36%) and Bajaj Finserv(down 1.15%) were trading in the red.
