Camerises Mistouk, is a woman founded business, has received $100,000 in financial assistance from CED. This was provided to improve its tourism offering and take on practices that are eco friendly.

Today, for Camerises Mistouk, honorable Minister of Sport and Minister for CED, Pascale St Onge, declared about a non-repayable contribution of $100,000. This CED support will allow the business to set up a haskap economuseum and build a welcome building and agreeing to eco-friendly practices.

Camerises Mistouk is a family business and in Quebec, it’s the largest haskap producer. Its impassioned co-founder, Myriam Savard, since 2014, among berry lovers has sought to encourage the haskap for its nutritional benefit. Ms. Savard together with her spouse has done well in creating a business whose main product is the haskap, is now obtainable freshly harvested or one can pick their own. The SME, based in the Saguenay-Lac Saint Jean region, is growing continually and making processed products all through the year.

Women like Myriam Savard play an active role in the financial development of the country. Celebrated on March 8, the day observed as International Women’s Day, the Government of Canada wishes to display their management and know-how, which are vital in constructing a Canadian market that is powerful, more flexible, and more inclusive.

Their government has positioned itself on the mission to help Canadian businesses growth and the economic diversification of communities.
