Scolded for phone, girl ends life

Rajkot: After her mother rebuked her over using mobile phone, a 19-year-old girl from Rajkot city ended her life on Wednesday. The girl studying in second-year of graduation hanged herself at her house in Sahkarnagar Vishva Khandekha. The mother asked her not to waste time on the mobile phone and concentrate on her studies. However, dejected by her mother’s reprimand, she locked herself in her room and took the extreme step, said the police. When her younger brother knocked on the door, the girl did not open it and the family finally broke it open only to find her hanging from the ceiling fan. tnn
