JAIPUR: A woman judicial officer has alleged that some miscreants morphed her photos to demand Rs 20 lakh from her.
The official had last month filed an FIR at a city police station in which she claimed that the accused sent an envelope to her office. Police have now formed special teams to track down the suspects. She opened the envelope and discovered her morphed pictures and a note with abusive language. The official told police that the accused had possibly taken photos from her social media accounts and morphed them.
She also alleged that she found a letter in which the accused asked her to keep Rs 20 lakh cash otherwise they would ruin her life.
The officials also examined CCTV footage of her office but could not identify the accused. She alleged that the accused kept on threatening her and on February 27 she found another envelope which was left outside her house.
She found three morphed pictures of her and another in which her face was crossed. The official in her report to police said she suspects that some people were following her movements. She said the accused were following her in different vehicles and asked Jaipur police to take immediate action otherwise her and her family's life would be in jeopardy.
Sources said a police station on February 28 filed an FIR under different sections of the IPC and IT Act. A senior official also said investigators are examining the role of some gang trying to blackmail her by morphing her pictures.
