Canacona Sports and Cultural Club defeated CAC Cansaulim 2-0 to sail into the quarter finals of the late Afonso Aguiar
inter village football tournament at Cuncolim ground on Thursday.

In the 7th minute, Canacona’s Savelon Cardozo took the lead after a clever pass from
Cavin Lobo. Cavin proved to be the difference maker in the game as he doubled the lead for his team in the 49th minute.

Canacona’s goalkeeper Earl Fernandes was named the man of the match.
