A 50-year-old Tasmac salesperson was stabbed by two unidentified people on Tuesday night near Kinathukadavu.
COIMBATORE: A 50-year-old Tasmac salesperson was stabbed by two unidentified people on Tuesday night near Kinathukadavu.
The injured man was identified as Nagamanickam of Kunjipalayam in Pollachi. “He had closed the shop at Mullupadi on Tuesday night and was on the way to his home on a two-wheeler, when two unidentified motorcycle-borne people stopped him on the pretext of asking directions. One of them took a knife and stabbed him. The duo managed to escape. Passersby rushed Nagamanickam to the Pollachi Government Hospital,” a police officer said. The Kinathukadavu police have registered a case.
In another incident, a driver working for a cab aggregator, threatened another car driver with a knife following a minor accident on Trichy Road flyover at Ramanathapuram on Wednesday.
Motorists who saw the incident stopped vehicles and pacified him. The city police are investigating the incident.
