Samsung had to wait quite a while for this, but finally, the Galaxy S23 series and a few other flagships have been welcomed into the ARCore support list. We don’t blame the Korean tech brand, however. After all, the list often lags far behind when it comes to inducting newly launched devices. So it’s not a huge surprise that it has taken a while for the Galaxy S23 series and even last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 to find their way in – amongst a hoard of other Galaxy handsets, of course.

The term “Augmented Reality” is often over-used in tech circles. But don’t worry – it turns out AR is actually pretty darn cool and helpful! Think real-time translations with just your phone’s camera – that’s the kind of stuff made possible with the ARCore platform. And this week, Google just added a whole bunch of Galaxy phones to the list of compatible hardware.

Below you can find the complete list of the latest ARCore-supported Galaxy phones.

  • Samsung Galaxy A14 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A23 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4
  • Samsung Galaxy S23
  • Samsung Galaxy S23+
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4

However, let’s face it – having your phone land on the ARCore support list isn’t exactly a life-changing update for your Galaxy S23, Z Fold 4, or Z Flip 4. If you buy a quality Android device, chances are you’ll be good to go in the augmented reality department from the get-go.
