Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Adani Ent.(Rs. 2487.86 crore), RIL(Rs. 1781.03 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1693.51 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1283.38 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 1194.59 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 1191.89 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 916.61 crore), Adani Power(Rs. 840.77 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 784.87 crore) and Infosys(Rs. 758.19 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 164.8 points down at 17589.6, while BSE Sensex fell 541.81 points to 59806.28.

In the Nifty index, Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.60 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.03 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 0.96 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.89 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.80 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 4.24 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.24 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.88 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 2.40 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.08 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
