UK Home Secretary moves bill on illegal migration in parliament

The United Kingdom’s (UK) Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, on Tuesday proposed an illegal migration bill before the House of Commons in London.

Speaking about the proposed bill, Suella said, “This bill aims at detaining and swiftly removing illegal migrants who enter the country by crossing the channels by small boats.”

“We’ve seen a 500% increase in small boat crossings in the last two years,” she added.
