Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 11:27AM

Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.29%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.29%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.72%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.57%) and Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.27%) were among the top gainers.

Lexus Granito(down 1.18%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.90%), MOIL(down 0.87%), Pokarna(down 0.81%), 20 Microns(down 0.63%), Coal India(down 0.60%) and KIOCL(down 0.30%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 31.4 points down at 17680.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 125.8 points at 60098.66 at around 11:27AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 1.73%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.25%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.22%), ITC(up 1.09%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.03%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.9%), Britannia Industries(up 0.89%), NTPC(up 0.82%), Tata Steel(up 0.8%) and Eicher Motors(up 0.58%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 2.16%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.61%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.52%), Infosys(down 1.36%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.09%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.0%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.94%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.79%), SBI Life(down 0.78%) and Coal India(down 0.6%) were trading in the red.
