Reliance Power(up 9.35%), KPI Green Energy(up 5.83%), Adani Transmissions(up 5.00%), ADANIGREEN(up 4.99%), Adani Power(up 4.98%), Karma Energy(up 4.94%), NHPC(up 4.26%), Alstom T&D India(up 3.43%), JSW Energy(up 3.21%) and Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 3.05%) stood among the top gainers.
PIGL(down 4.63%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 1.99%), DPSC(down 1.24%), KEC International(down 0.91%), Voltamp Transformers(down 0.78%) and Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 0.54%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 42.95 points up at 17754.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 123.63 points at 60348.09.
IndusInd Bank(up 4.79%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.08%), Adani Enterprises(up 2.86%), Bajaj Auto(up 2.37%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.53%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.38%), Eicher Motors(up 1.21%), NTPC(up 1.16%), ITC(up 1.09%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.03%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 2.25%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.63%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.08%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.02%), Infosys(down 0.98%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.8%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.62%), HCL Technologies(down 0.54%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.43%) and Cipla(down 0.41%) closed in the red.
