Forest dept extends search for mother Tiger to reunite abandoned cubs at Andhra Pradesh's Nandyal district
The forest department staff shifted the Tiger cubs to the Bairluty camp and have been making numerous efforts to locate the mother Tiger and reunite with the cubs during last 72 hours.
TIRUPATI: The Andhra Pradesh forest department officials extended their search to locate the mother Tiger with the four cubs found abandoned near Pedda Gummadapuram village in Kothapalli mandal in Nandyal district.
It may be recalled that the local villagers who found four Tiger cubs near their village at around 6am on Monday informed the forest department about the development immediately.
The forest department staff shifted the Tiger cubs to the Bairluty camp and have been making numerous efforts to locate the mother Tiger and reunite with the cubs during last 72 hours.
On Wednesday, about 300 odd staff were engaged to go in search of the mother Tiger.
Aafter inspecting numerous footage from the on-field cameras already set up and a lone pug mark found, the forest department staff felt that the mother Tiger which left behind the four cubs could be T 108 F and tried to locate it.
The forest department staff also went in search of the Tiger at a spot where a shepherd spotted it on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, all the four Tiger cubs which remain in the custody of the forest department were hale and healthy.
