Despite the failure of the movie, the songs are still well-liked and are regarded as one of Mahesh's best albums. Also, some admirers asked rahman to work with Mahesh once more on a forthcoming movie. Mahesh is now preoccupied with SSMB28. The film's music is being composed by Thaman. After this film, Mahesh will move on to the largest and most important film of his career alongside SS Rajamouli. Also, it is well known that rajamouli loves to collaborate only with MM Keeravani. 

Thus, a movie starring Mahesh and AR rahman may not be made for another four to five years. Nobody knows what will happen after that. The AR rahman of the 1990s and 2000s is not the AR rahman of today. His most recent works have been forgettable and subpar. So, it appears to be nearly impossible for an in-form superstar like Mahesh to collaborate with a failed music director like AR Rahman. In contrast, nothing is impossible in the world of movies!
