College youth dies of assault, 8 booked in Hisar

HISAR: Police on Monday booked eight youth for assault and murder of a student of Nehru College in Sisai Pul area in Haryana's Hisar district. The deceased has been identified as Ravi (21), a resident of Barsi Gujran village of Hanai area of Hisar.
The complainant, a retired Army man and currently working in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, told police that Ravi was a BA first year student of Nehru College in Hansi.
He said, on Saturday afternoon, his nephew called him and informed that Ravi was injured in a fight near Sisai Pul and taken to a private hospital in Hansi, from where he was referred to Hisar. "I immediately went to the hospital in Hisar and was informed that Ravi had died. I made some enquiries and found that eight people had killed his son," he said.
A case of murder and rioting, armed with deadly weapon, was registered at Hansi police on the complaint of Madan Lal, Ravi's father, against Kuldeep alias Bhola, Sachin, both residents of Virat Nagar in Hansi, Naveen, of Sainipura village, Neeraj, a resident of Dhani Pal and four others.
