Orlando man killed, 2 injured in shooting at Davenport rental house party, deputies say
A young man from Orlando was killed and two others, including a 17-year-old boy, were injured in a shooting at an illegal house party at a Davenport-area rental property, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies were called about 1:15 a.m. to the Soltera Resort in unincorporated Davenport, PCSO spokesperson Alicia Manautou said.
Manautou in a statement said the unit where the shooting occurred had been rented to host an open house party, during which the teenager, a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were shot. All three victims were from Orlando.
The 19-year-old died while the others were in stable condition at local hospitals as of Monday morning, Manautou said.
PCSO hasn’t publicly identified any suspects in the shooting.
“This investigation is in the early stages and remains on-going,” Manautou said in the statement. “Due to the complexity of the investigation, we will not be releasing any more details at this time.”
