DM orders closure of liquor shops

Kanpur: District magistrate Vishakh G Iyer on Monday ordered the closure of all country made liquor, foreign liquor, beer, model shop premier shop and Bhang shops on March 8, 2023 on the occasion of Holi festival. In order to maintain the law & order on the occasion of Holi festival the sale of liquor would be totally prohibited. There would be no consideration to the license holders for closure. TNN
