Deputies at home associated with Bengals' Joe Mixon after report of shooting in Anderson Township

A juvenile was taken to the hospital Monday night after a report of shots being fired around a home associated with Bengals running back Joe Mixon in Anderson Township, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Officials have not released any information about the condition of the juvenile or the circumstances of the reported shooting. There has been no report of any arrests in connection with the incident.

There was a police presence in the 7900 block of Ayers Road home Monday night. According to a press release, deputies responded there just before 8:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

Deputies were investigating a home in the block and later included a second residence in the investigation. That second address matches the address of court documents filed in a prior incident in which Mixon was accused of aggravated menacing. Those charges were later dropped.

The owner of the home is listed as a trust since 2021 on the Hamilton County Auditor's website.

Enquirer media partner Fox19 reported that deputies entered the home associated with Mixon and then left without making an arrest.

Mixon, 26, is in his sixth year with the Bengals and recently said he wanted to spend his entire career with the team.

The Cincinnati Bengals and a representative for Mixon have not responded to requests for comments.

The Enquirer has requested documents and recordings in connection with the incident. The story will be updated when more information becomes available.
