NPP chief Conrad Sangma took oath as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya for the second consecutive term on March 07. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda were also present during his oath-taking ceremony. Shortly after the ceremony, during a press briefing, he said, “We'll continue to work aggressively on the foundations we have laid in the last 5 years for the development of the state. We will focus to build a better state for our people. Our focus will be on the overall infrastructure and social sectors like health and education. We're giving a lot of importance to youth when it comes to employment and livelihood. The overall efficiency of benefits of various schemes reaching the grassroots level has improved and we will continue to ensure that the impact of different programs at the grassroots level is felt to the maximum level.”
