State Handloom expo scheduled for March 16-27 in Bilasipara, Assam

Bilasipara, Mar 7 (KNN) The Assam Government Marketing Corporation Ltd (AGMC) is organising a State Handloom Expo at Bilasipara in Dhubri district of Assam from March 16 to 27, 2023.

The two-week long handloom expo is being sponsored by Development Commissioner for Handloom, Government of India under the Ministry of Textile, New Delhi.

The expo aims to encourage entrepreneurs from the north eastern region and across the country to display and promote their products, Chairman of AGMC, Ashok Kumar Singhi told The Sentinel on Sunday.

State Handloom expo will make local weavers aware through various programmes and also encourage consumer to purchase genuine handloom fabrics woven by local artisans. 

The expo will be held at Bilasipara Municipal Field.  (KNN Bureau)
