MANDYA: Union minister Kishan Pal Gurjar, BJP national general secretary CT Ravi, Mysuru MP Pratap Simha, excise minister K Gopalaiah and former minister KS Eshwarappa on Monday held Vijayasankalpa Yatra in Srirangapatna.
The yatra commenced from the Sriranganatha Swami temple premises in the historical town and passed via its main streets, informing people about achievements of the BJP governments in the state and at the centre.
Speaking to reporters during the yatra, Ravi said that Congress is distributing false cards to people in state, and said people should reject them. AICC top brass Rahul Gandhi had said that Congress will waive the farmers’ loans within 24 hours of Congress coming to power in Rajasthan.
However, the loan has not been waived so far, he said, arguing that the Karnataka Congress leaders will fool the people in a similar fashion. “The only guarantee Congress can extend is that it will continue to support anti-national organisations,” he alleged. Ravi said political change is happening in Mandya. BJP has emerged stronger and will win at least 4 to 5 seats here, he stated.
He said former CM HD Kumaraswamy is hoping that the assembly elections throw up a fractured mandate so that he can have a swing at power. Voters should not fall for the JD(S) trap, he said.
